Eala Bhan (Gaelic for 'white swan') is a 50-ton traditional wooden herring
drifter built Larch on Oak by Richard Irvin & Sons of Peterhead in 1961. She
fished the seas around the Outer Hebrides for over 30 years and was then
converted to take passengers.
Mechanical propulsion is by Gardner 8L3B 200hp diesel engine. She has around
1,200 miles range under engine. She also has a 5KVA Diesel generator.
She offers up to 18 berths in 6 cabins and has two heads / showers. There
is central heating throughout, a bar, library and a new galley.
