Eala Bhan is Gaelic for White Swan, she is a 20 metre (24m with bowsprit) 50 ton converted Herring Drifter. Built in Peterhead in 1961, she fished the seas from the Isle of Man to the Outer Hebrides for over 30 years.

It is believed that she is the last remaining boat of her kind. Found lying in Stornoway harbour she was bought by Iain 15 years ago. He lovingly converted her keeping as much of the original structure as possible. Over the years she has enchanted many people, from all over the world, including Penny who loved her so much that she bought half of her.

Being unique with a great deal of history and culture of Scotland she has featured in various TV, radio and newspaper/magazine articles.

She is a warm, comfortable boat that works for her living.

Her recent refit included central heating, a new galley, comfortable saloon for meals and socialising, library, bar, TV, 2 toilets and 2 showers.

All modern safety, communication and satellite navigation equipment has been fitted including a colour echo sounder (in case we spot the Loch Ness monster!).
