Specifications

Sleipner was launched in 1988 at the builders Neils Erik in Dyreborg near Sondeborg on
Denmark's Baltic coast. She was built as a yacht
being of traditional Danish kutter lines of larch on solid oak frames with teak
superstructure.
Her construction is massive. her frames are 3.5ins by 5ins increasing to
3.5ins by 6ins on 14inch centres - DOUBLED below the waterline! Apparently
she was the smallest boat of this style that the yard had ever built so they
used the scantlings of previous, larger, craft in her construction.
Her decks are Teak laid, windows and portlights toughened glass.
She has a lead Keel (2 tons) with stainless steel keelbolts, last inspected
2004.
