Engine and Mechanics

The Volvo 2003 3-cylinder diesel engine (new in 1991) was removed, stripped and overhauled in 2002.  It is regularly serviced. 

A new Prop shaft and coupling were installed in 2005. 

Fuel consumption is around 1/2 gallon per hour at 5.5knots

The engine control panel is underneath the companion way steps.
